Explain to your client about the benefits of laser and remover.
You must clearly and reasonably explain to your client why you choose either laser or chemical removal during the consultation process.
The order of a competent consultation is as follows:
- Briefly outline the benefits of the laser and the benefits of the remover.
- Gather as full a medical history as possible.
- Listen carefully to your client’s wishes.
- Suggest the ideal algorithm for your client.
If you are proficient in one technique or the other, then you apply the technique that you are proficient in. But in that case, consider extending the service and learning chemical removal, because at the moment, with all the many benefits of laser removal, there’s no way around it without chemical removal.
Why you need to be able to work with remover?
Because there are some pigments that the laser does not remove. There are pigments that the laser changes. And there are jobs that, in principle, cannot be removed by laser. And then it’s a niche only for alkaline removal. No other: no acidic, no saline. It’s a niche for alkaline removal with Yourwings remover. So, after taking a medical history and understanding what pigment was used for permanent make-up or tattooing, you choose the method.
Let’s compare the laser and remover in a few ways
- Effectiveness in relation to different types of pigments.
We have already touched on this issue a little earlier. Let’s take a closer look. 1. The alkaline removal niche is all pigments where titanium dioxide was. These are the light pigments, these are the flesh pigments and of course the white pigment.
If we are talking about mineral pigments, both laser and Yourwings alkaline remover remove these pigments equally well. The maximum unwanted effect of laser removal is an inversion of colour into red or grey. The remover removes without inversion.
If we are looking at organic pigments, we have to be very careful here and make sure to do a trial. Organic pigments have brought a huge layer of problems to laser removal because so many colour changes occur. Yellow, bright green, crimson colours appear after regular grey eyebrows have been laser removed. And it’s all organic. So please be careful here.
- Effectiveness with regard to deep-seated and multi-layered permanent make-up.
To make the right decision, you need to understand how many times permanent make-up has been done. After all, at a minimum, if your client has had permanent make-up done in the last 20 years, laser removal is not a viable option because it will be very long lasting.
- Instant effect after the procedure.
The effect that builds up immediately after the procedure is an advantage of chemical removal, because the result of the Yourwings remover is immediately visible. A very large amount of pigment can be “removed” in one treatment.
- Duration of the rehabilitation period.
And this is where laser has a significant advantage, because it does not require a recovery period, at most a slight swelling. It should be noted that we are talking about a proper laser removal technique, where our skin stays alive and healthy. So if your client is not ready for even a minimal rehabilitation period, laser removal is the obvious choice.
- Risk of scarring.
In terms of the effect on skin quality, it is not possible to make a definite choice in favour of one technique or the other. Here it all depends on the professionalism of the specialist. With the right work, neither after laser, nor after removers, nor after permanent make-up itself, there are no scars. You just have to perform the procedure correctly.
- Painless
In terms of comfort, the procedures. are almost unequivocal, because we can always use anaesthesia if the client feels uncomfortable.
Laser and remover operating principle
So, the principle of chemical removal is a physico-chemical process of the reaction of the pigment and the suspension introduced into the skin, which results in the release of pigment in the form of ‘green’ and the colour of permanent make-up immediately lightens. But we talk about this in more detail in the masterclass.
In laser removal, the pigment in the skin is broken down into small particles using a specific wavelength and then eliminated by the lymphatic system. This is a longer process than chemical removal.
Now comes a time when it is impossible not to be proficient in these techniques. In order to do repeat work (and there are now more than 80% of such clients), pre-removal is necessary in most cases. And you need to know exactly which algorithm to use. So master both techniques, combine them differently in each case. And thanks to that you will be able to achieve real success in the field of tattoo removal.
We wish you beautiful work and grateful clients!
