Camouflage pigments for different phototypes

The importance of the right pigments for a scar camouflage work
cannot be overestimated. In this article we will look at the classification of pigments
YOURWINGS pigments for working on the skin and let’s take a look at the popular mixes for different phototypes.

All pigments in the ESTHETIC LINE FOR SKIN collection can be divided into 3 groups.

  1. The 4 beige pigments are the foundation of any skin. It’s a good idea to have all four of them in your arsenal. It is preferable to have all 4 so as to be able to recreate absolutely any unique skin tone. Each of these pigments has a different base. BEIGE 1 – is the most lightest, coldest and neutral. It is most commonly used for the lightest of skin tones. Skin without an olive undertone. BEIGE 2 – has an olive undertone, not very pronounced and not very saturated. BEIGE 3 – has a pink undertone. Often used for skin that is vascular, and skin types without excessive pigmentation. Pigmentation, olivaceousness and heaviness from melanin, BEIGE 4 is the most intense pronounced and most olive-like colour.
  2. 3 pink pigments. LIGHT PINK – expressed light pink color. In the woks on skin is used very seldom and very little, more often in areola. MEDIUM PINK and NATURAL PINK – neutral pink, they are used on skin very often.
  3. Correctors – are not used on the skin in their pure form, but they are used in combination with other pigments from the ESTHETIC LINE collection. In combination with other pigments from ESTHETIC LINE collection make it possible to create unique and unique shades which are indistinguishable from real skin colour. Unique shades indistinguishable from the real skin colour. The correctors are added very dosage, drop by drop. OLIVA – a unique pigment which is unique to YOURWINGS. Hardly any mix can do without OLIVA. virtually no other mix can do without it. WHITE – is a very special white colour which, despite its covering power, does not produce a “putty” effect or any unnecessary density.

Which pigments are most often used for which phototypes?

Phototype I. BEIGE 1, BEIGE 3 and OLIVA mixes are suitable. Phototype II. BEIGE 2, BEIGE 4, OLIVA and NATURAL PINK are popular. III phototype. BEIGE 4, OLIVA and NATURAL PINK or MEDIUM PINK.

IV and darker phototypes. In addition to the above pigments, an additional darkening with a mix that does not change its tone over time. Only use mineral pigments. Yes, these dark mineral pigments will lighten over time, so on phototypes IV, V, VI a correction will be need to be corrected more often to darken the tone again. But it will look much more correct than other pigments, which may stand “forever” but will change their tone, thereby making your entire job look incorrect. This will be practically impossible to fix. Ideal for dark phototypes DARK GOLDEN BROWN (remember, it should only be used in addition to the pigments from the ESTHETIC LINE collection.)

Not all pigments are suitable for camouflage

To summarise the topic of camouflage pigments, it is important to remember that not all pigments are suitable for such applications. The pigments selected must meet very high requirements: be highly covering, They must adapt to the structure of the leather, not create unnecessary weighting, and they must be resistant to colour change over time and they must be hypoallergenic.
